Celebration of Life
Birthdays are special time in a child's life. The Montessori teachers have a very unique way of celebrating this important day known as "Celebration of Life". Teachers will explain (using the Sun and Earth) the time it takes for a year to go by while the child walks around to each month of the year. A poster with pictures of the child at every year since birth adds to the fun and excitement. Parents are welcome to bring a nutritious snack and participate in the celebration. However, if the child becomes anxious or inconsolable at the departure of the parent then we strongly recommend that you take your child with you at that time. This is to prevent any disruption to the normal routine of the classroom.
