Whispering Farms Montessori Academy is owned by Ms. Kiran Rai. Kiran has a Bachelors Degree in Education and is an AMI Montessori Trained Teacher. She received her Montessori Training in Calcutta where she studied under the directorship of Mr. A.M. Joosten who was a personal representative of Dr. Maria Montessori. Her first experience in teaching was in India in 1977.
She moved to the States in 1978 after she got married and took up teaching in New Jersey at Raritan Valley Montessori School. She moved to Texas in 1982 where her husband set up his medical practice in Plastic Surgery. Due to her belief and commitment to the Montessori Method both her children attended Montessori New Beginnings, a Montessori school in Plano, where she soon took up teaching and later was the school Director.
The Montessori Method of Education has been and is still very close to her heart. WFMA has been and will always be a school that has dealt with the needs of this community.
